I made a list of Noelle's words at 16 months, just like my mom had done for me. Well, Evan wasn't really saying much then, so I made him one at 20 months! I started writing it out and fully expected to get maybe 25 words. I'm at 50 right now, and he seems to be adding new ones every day!
Tomorrow Evan will have tubes surgery to hopefully rid him of a series of ear infections, the most recent of which has lasted over 2 months. We've also heard that their speech can take off after clearing all that infection out, because they can hear better! We are just hopeful that he will feel better and be even more happy than he usually is.
I planned to list all his words, but since 50 is a lot I'm just putting my favorites here, especially the ones he doesn't say quite perfectly yet!
all gah = all gone
appy = happy
B = any letter he sees
baby
boo (loves to 'scare' us)
bubble
bye (said loudly to anyone leaving)
ca = car
coo = cool
daddy
dah = down
doo = dude
goggie = doggie
heeah = here
mama (I think he calls Noelle mama.)
mine
mo = more
mommy
okee = okay
opa = open
oww
pool = pull
potty
shh (said with finger to lips)
sur = sure
ucky
uh uh (when you do something he doesn't like)
vatee = water

Sure can't wait to hear those cute words first hand. Maybe we can get him to add Grammy and PaPaw (or something that sounds like) to his vocabulary.:)
